  Recently I developed a problem with one of my sliding doors leading to the lanai.  The house is only two years old and one of the sliders began to stick after only opening it about 3’.  As time went on it gradually got worse to the point where it was almost impossible to squeeze through or to use more strength than I had to push it beyond the point where it stuck.  I could see on the top of the door track where it was rubbing for about one foot.  Another contractor who happened to be at my house doing other work saw it and said it just needed an adjustment.  I was not convinced that was the proper solution.  I placed a call to a sliding door company other than Southern Customs and when I described the problem they told me that it was something they couldn’t handle and referred me to Josh at Southern Customs.  I called Josh and left him a message and he returned my call that same day and stopped by at the end of the day to see the problem.  I was very impressed with Josh’s evaluation and solution to the problem and as I suspected the problem was more than a mere adjustment.  We scheduled for the work to be done the following week.  Josh’s team showed up on time as promised and fixed the problem in the correct manner while also adjusting two other regular type doors I was having some minor problems with off and on.  His team was courteous and did an excellent job of protecting the work area and cleaning up when they were done.  I was very impressed with their workmanship and that the repair was done in the correct manner.  I would highly recommend Josh and his team and months later I have not had any problems with any of the doors they worked on.  Southern Customs is definitely the company I would call for any window/door work I might need.

  Naples Shutter, Inc. has had the pleasure of doing business with Southern Customs, LLC for the past 5 years. As Subcontractors working for our clients it is hit or miss on what you will get on certain jobs. Josh and his crew take that miss out of play by being professional and clean on all our jobs.

  Naples Shutter, Inc. got in the replacement Impact Window and Door business 5 years ago and was referred to Southerns Custom, LLC by our distributor. Since our first install we have had 2 mistakes on windows with an overall out of pocket cost of $659.00. I mention this because we were reluctant to enter the Window Replacement Industry due to the issues of errors and low margins. When Josh measures each and every job he takes pride in owning every opening. He makes sure that the final specifications are to what he requested. We feel that this has limited our errors to the lowest in the industry and all do to the fact of Southern Customs.
